Bar Hill: Growth of a New Village (1970 - 1979)
The 1970s were the first full decade for the new Village and marked significant growth, as new community features (such as the Fox) were opened and residents continued to move into the Village.
Concerns were first raised regarding the Bar Hill Junction (back then onto the A604) into and out of the village - these concerns, in various forms, would continue for the next 50 years (at least)!
This decade began with an on-again, off-again first Village Fete - called the Bar Hill Village Fair at the time.
